The Human Subjects Review
Board at the University of Michigan has reviewed this research for respect
for individuals, benevolence, and justice. Permission to proceed has been
granted on the basis that it presents little or no danger beyond that
already present in the workplace. The University of Michigan board is one
of the oldest, dating to 1966, long before Federal policy had been determined.
