About Survey
Purpose | Survey Help | Incentives | Survey PeekPurpose
The goal of this survey is to learn about how people in general and you in particular use information. Ultimately, we would like to figure out which practices work best and how to support them. The bottom line question is: How does information make people more or less productive?
How it works
Your answers will be strictly confidential. No individual data will be shared with anyone else but you. Please respond based on your first impression.
After completing this survey, you will be given a chance to review and change any of your answers. Also, you will be rewarded after you complete the survey for the first time. If you would like to recieve a copy of the final results, you can also request it at this time.
Survey Help
During the survey, if you would like more information on any question, just point your mouse over

Please review the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) topics that relate to the survey
before contacting our survey team.
We recommend that you do the survey with an Internet Explorer browser (version 5.5) and a reliable internet connection (i.e. for
dial-up folks, is call waiting disabled while you surf?).
Incentives
There are two main incentives for you the participant. Both are triggered at the completion of the survey for the first time.
- Within 24 hours you will have a $25 Amazon.com gift certificate as a reward for completing the survey.
In stage 2, you get a $100 Amazon gift certificate just for permission to observe the mail server (and you dont have to do anything!).Next, you will automatically be registrered in a drawing of survey participants that remain in the study through the 2nd stage. A randomly selected winner in each firm will receive $1,000 with odds of winning roughly between 1/20 and 1/60. The $1000 is only available to people who stay in for stage 2.
